The Reiki Principles (Precepts)

There are many versions of Reiki Principles given in different books. Written in simple language, they look like routine advice or teaching from the elders but actually they are a way of life. Someone may choose to ignore them whereas actually one must pay attention to what they truly mean. Even a slightly deeper thought would reveal that these principles have a great philosophy and power behind them. Whatever be the version or source, they all mean nearly the same thing and are full of wisdom and the very key to living a clean life with a clean mind. Remember that Nature wants every human being to have good moral values and be fully positive. If your thoughts and conduct are positive, you generate positivity and transmit the same. If you go the other way, you harm your own self first before you do it to others.

During my Reiki teaching classes, I have frequently noticed that many of the students do not take these principles seriously. Their entire focus of their attention remains on the ability to transmit the healing energy. So I teach these precepts repeatedly in First, Second and Master degrees and have included them in the corresponding training manuals with the hope that their importance would be realized.

Try starting your day by reminding yourself of these precepts. If you make them your way of life, you will find the life much better than ever before. Try going along with Nature, not against it. Initially it may not be easier to adjust emotionally and mentally but as you go along with conviction, you will start to experience positive changes.
